Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart is dead, killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred early this morning in Fullerton, California, only hours after pitching six innings of shutout ball against the Athletics.
Adenhart was only 22 years old, and a promising piece of the Angels’ starting rotation. Two others died in the crash, including one that may or may not also be a member of the Angels’ organization.

This is a tragedy and a horrible time for the Angels, the Adenhart family, and the baseball community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
What a sad tragedy.
I just can’t believe how many of these sad happenings that have occured in the history of the Angels’ franchise.
