Giants' Vogelsong, Posey Boost Video Game Ratings Campaign | read this item

Ryan Vogelsong and Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants are participating in a PSA campaign for ESRB, the ratings standard for video games. The campaign – which includes both TV and radio ads – is expected to be distributed at the start of the season to stations throughout northern California, including the San Francisco Bay Area. The TV ads will also run at a number of the Giants home games at AT&T Park.

ESRB ratings range from C (Early Childhood) to A (Adults only). Notable baseball titles, including MLB 2K12, MLB The Show 12, Wii Mario Super Sluggers and The Bigs 2 are all rated E (Everyone), which according the ESRB guide “have content that may be suitable for ages 6 and older. Titles in this category may contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence and/or infrequent use of mild language.”
