'Buddy Badge' Highlights Little League Challenger Division  | read this item

In 1989, Little League established the Challenger Division, enabling boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide. Today, more than 30,000 children participate in more than 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide.

SUBWAY® recently kicked-off the design a “Buddy Badge” contest on the SUBWAY® Facebook page. A Buddy is a fellow Little Leaguer, friend, sibling, or parent that helps a Challenger teammate play the game.

In the program, adults (18+) can enter their Buddy Badge design through the SUBWAY Facebook app for a chance that their design/illustration could be chosen as The Buddy Badge logo throughout the 2013 season on hats and uniforms nationwide.

Aspiring designers can log onto Facebook.com/Subway, Go to the Buddy Badge tab and download the badge template. The winning design will be announced at the Little League World Series and used throughout the 2013 Challenger Division season.
