Supply and demand is the most basic of all economic concepts. If there is a shortage of a product, the demand for it will be higher. People will have a greater desire for it. If it’s a product that anyone can acquire with ease, the demand will not be as high. I equate this concept to fantasy baseball, especially the Going 9 NL Only league.
One of the most difficult aspects in analyzing baseball, whether it is for fantasy or real world purposes, is knowing when a slow start is really more than just a temporary issue. Some players are notoriously slow starters.
